I opened Martha's Stone Soup at the Tavern November 1, 2007.

My restaurant is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5 to 10 p.m. Hours may change seasonally, so check the Web site for updates.Currently serving a special menu with special pricing on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 9, see December, January Promotion Page.

I am sole proprietor, that is, with my family and wonderful staff as great contributors. This is a family operation. I live in this historic building with my 8-year-old son, Paul Francis, and my first-born child, Cora Marie, and her baby, Eli Amadeus. My older son, Walter, has cooked with me for years. Cora Marie helps with all aspects of the business, and Paul Francis enjoys helping and doing his homework in the kitchen, and coaching me in all other aspects of life in general.

I am committed to fine foods, organic agriculture, and local, sustainable practices. My menu and our lifestyle reflect this in all that we can do to support it.

I love what I do. I consciously consider the amount of positive energy that I invest in all that I prepare for you. I am eternally grateful for the gifts that I have been given and consider myself a messenger to pass these gifts along to those who choose to visit us. As always, it is my and my family’s pleasure to serve you.
