It was one year in October that I closed Martha’s Stone Soup. I currently earn my living as the chef and general manager at a small neighborhood market in Boston’ South End. I maintain my connections with local foods and farms largely through the Plymouth Farmer’s Market. Although I no longer participate as a vendor at the market, I have been an active volunteer since I closed the doors at Martha’s Stone Soup. I continue to support local farmers and local foods through my volunteer activities and purchasing local products whenever possible.
There has been a whirlwind of controversy surrounding our Plymouth Farmers Market over this past year. There is a hearing scheduled this coming Tuesday, January 24th at Plymouth town hall on the farmer’s market. Please consider viewing the links below and signing the petition in support of Barbara Anglin and our Plymouth Farmer’s Market.
I believe that this is an important step in supporting our local food producers and our local economy.
Most grateful thanks for your consideration.
Martha and family
