Dear Friends,
It was one year in October that I closed Martha’s Stone Soup. I currently earn my living as the chef and general manager at a small neighborhood market in Boston’ South End. I maintain my connections with local foods and farms largely through the Plymouth Farmer’s Market. Although I no longer participate as a vendor at the market, I have been an active volunteer since I closed the doors at Martha’s Stone Soup. I continue to support local farmers and local foods through my volunteer activities and purchasing local products whenever possible.
There has been a whirlwind of controversy surrounding our Plymouth Farmers Market over this past year. There is a hearing scheduled this coming Tuesday, January 24th at Plymouth town hall on the farmer’s market. Please consider viewing the links below and signing the petition in support of Barbara Anglin and our Plymouth Farmer’s Market.
I believe that this is an important step in supporting our local food producers and our local economy.
Most grateful thanks for your consideration.
Best,
Martha and family

Please respond to this email if you should choose to be removed from my list.
I have closed Martha's Stone Soup permanently.
Local good news!!!
Hi Martha,
I'm writing to let you know that our readers have voted and we have again selected you as one of our Local Hero's for 2010. You won in the category of Local Chef. During the voting many people noted that even though Stone Soup was closed you should win for all your efforts - a wonderful compliment.
We will include a short profile of all our winners and publishing it in our Spring 2011 issue, due to be published March 10th. Kathleen FitzPatrick Wright will be contacting you soon for a interview.
Congratulations and thank you for all you do to support the local abundance of Southeastern Massachusetts.
Happy Holidays,
Laurie and Michael
